Terms of Service

2.1 What the App Does

Junior Kickers Journey is an offline mobile application that allows parents to:

• Log and track their child's soccer training sessions
• Record match performances and statistics
• Monitor skill development over time
• Celebrate achievements and milestones with animations
• Attach photos and videos to activities
• View progress through charts and analytics
• Generate progress reports (PDF)
• Learn fun soccer facts after logging activities

2.2 What the App Does NOT Do

• Require internet connectivity or user accounts
• Collect or transmit data to external servers
• Provide professional coaching or medical advice
• Guarantee improvement in athletic performance
• Connect with coaches, teams, or other users
• Offer social features or community interaction

2.3 Offline-Only Service

The App operates entirely offline. All data is stored locally on your device. We do not provide cloud storage, backup services, or data synchronization across devices.

3.1 License Grant

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the App on your personal device(s) solely for personal, non-commercial purposes.

3.2 License Restrictions

You agree NOT to:

• Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the App
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels
• Use the App for commercial purposes
• Rent, lease, lend, sell, or redistribute the App
• Use the App in violation of any applicable laws
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App
• Use the App to harass, abuse, or harm others
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content

3.3 Ownership

The App, including all intellectual property rights, remains our exclusive property. These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you.

4.1 Your Data

You are solely responsible for:

• All data you enter into the App
• Accuracy of information logged
• Protecting your device and data
• Backing up your device (if desired)
• Maintaining your device security (passcode, etc.)
• Deciding what information to track and share

4.2 Appropriate Use

You agree to:

• Use the App only for tracking your own child's soccer activities
• Provide accurate information
• Respect intellectual property rights
• Use the App in compliance with all applicable laws
• Not use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose

4.3 Parental Responsibility

As the parent or guardian:

• You are responsible for all data about your child
• You decide what information to record
• You control access to the App on your device
• You determine if/when to share information with others
• You ensure appropriate use by your child (if they view the App)

5.1 Data Storage

All app data is stored locally on your device unless you choose to export or share it using your device's native sharing features. We do NOT:

• Collect, access, or store your data on our servers
• Transmit your app data to our servers
• Back up your data to the cloud
• Have access to any information you enter

5.2 Your Data Ownership

You own and control all data you enter into the App. You may:

• View, edit, or delete data at any time
• Export data (PDF reports)
• Share data using your device's native sharing features (your choice)

5.3 Privacy Policy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand our privacy practices.

6.1 No Warranty

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Warranties of merchantability
• Warranties of fitness for a particular purpose
• Warranties of non-infringement
• Warranties that the App will be error-free or uninterrupted
• Warranties regarding data accuracy or reliability

6.2 No Professional Advice

The App is for personal tracking purposes only and does NOT provide:

• Professional coaching or training advice
• Medical, health, or fitness advice
• Athletic performance guarantees
• Injury prevention or treatment recommendations

Consult qualified professionals (coaches, doctors, trainers) for professional guidance.

6.3 No Guarantee of Results

Use of the App does NOT guarantee:

• Improvement in soccer skills or performance
• Achievement of specific athletic goals
• Success in competitions or evaluations
• Scholarship opportunities or team selection

7.1 No Liability for Damages

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY:

• Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of profits, revenue, data, or use
• Business interruption or lost opportunities
• Cost of substitute goods or services
• Personal injury or property damage

ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY.

7.2 Maximum Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS RELATED TO THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP (WHICH IS $0 IF THE APP IS FREE).

7.3 Data Loss

We are NOT liable for:

• Data loss due to device failure, damage, or loss
• Data deletion by you or unauthorized users
• Data loss due to uninstalling the App
• Inability to recover deleted data

8.1 Termination by You

You may stop using the App at any time by:

• Uninstalling the App from your device
• Deleting all data within the App

8.2 Termination by Us

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without notice, if:

• You violate these Terms
• You engage in illegal or harmful activities
• We discontinue the App

8.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

• Your license to use the App ends immediately
• You must uninstall the App from your device
• All data remains on your device until you delete it
• Sections of these Terms that should survive termination will remain in effect

The current version of the App is distributed through the Apple App Store for iOS. If we release an Android version in the future, additional Google Play terms may apply to that version.

9.1 Apple App Store (iOS)

If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store:

• These Terms are between you and us, not Apple
• Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance
• Apple is not liable for any claims related to the App
• Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms
• You must comply with Apple's App Store Terms of Service

9.2 Google Play Store (Android, if released in the future)

If you download a future Android version of the App from Google Play Store:

• These Terms are between you and us, not Google
• Google has no obligation to provide support or maintenance
• Google is not liable for any claims related to the App
• You must comply with Google Play's Terms of Service

10.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App and supersede all prior agreements.

10.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

10.3 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes will be resolved through informal resolution first, and if needed, through appropriate legal channels.

10.4 No Third-Party Beneficiaries

These Terms do not create any third-party beneficiary rights, except as expressly stated (e.g., Apple or Google as third-party beneficiaries).

By downloading, installing, or using Junior Kickers Journey, you acknowledge that:

1. You have read and understood these Terms
2. You agree to be bound by these Terms
3. You meet the eligibility requirements (18+ years old, parent/guardian)
4. You have read and understood our Privacy Policy
5. You understand that all data is stored locally on your device
6. You accept responsibility for your data and device security
7. You agree to use the App appropriately and lawfully
